Dennis Bachman, Executive Director and principle architect of ViaCordis’ chaplaincy services, is uniquely gifted, trained and experienced to lead this initiative. Dennis has nearly three decades of pastoral ministry expertise, academic degrees in psychology, business administration and pastoral care, training as a spiritual director and Stephen Minister, a background in corporate human resources in the financial industry, acumen as a business ethics professor, and experience as a chaplain for graduate, professional and non-traditional undergrad students at a university. He is also a small business owner who understands the rigors of marketplace competition and the challenges involved in talent acquisition, employee development and staff leadership. He and his family reside in Upland, California. Dennis enjoys a plethora of outdoor activities, visual arts and physical exercise.
Dr. Matt Soeter (M.Div., D.Min.) is a pastor of nearly 35 years, much of that time in Asian-American churches. An English major in college, Dr. Soeter has served as a national consultant for ACSI, the largest accreditation organization for Christian schools around the world. As a small business owner himself, Matt understands the unique challenges of owning and operating a small business in a competitive marketplace and brings this expertise into his chaplaincy responsibilities. The Soeter family loves traveling, singing together, horseback riding, playing tennis and other sports. They live in Norco (“Horse City U.S.A.”), California, 40 miles east of Los Angeles.
