You start your laptop and open one program after another. It works great for you as you keep clicking “launch” until you have 5 or 6 tasks running at once. Finally, you initiate one program too many and the computer freezes; locked up; paralyzed. Then, it crashes. Too many programs open at once!
You manage so many demands and responsibilities. One after another, the tasks continue to multiply. Even still, you find the way to handle it all. Yet, at some point, so many vie for your time and attention, you just halt, paralyzed, succumbing to the overwhelm.
When the people of God stood on the edge of the Red Sea, the Egyptian armies closing on them from behind, God simply told them, “Go Forward.” He directed them to take the next faithful step…to trust Him with their deliverance as He forged a new path.
You may not find a viable trail forward through your own clever ability. Yet, when you trust God as you take your next faithful step, He will open a path in an otherwise paralyzing situation. That’s how God works – making a way where there is no way.
